I was reading recently where to find Megalodon teeth in Virginia (I don’t know why, I just think it would be really cool to find a shark tooth that big), when a few Virginia State Parks popped up. One of those parks was Chippokes Plantation State Park, a park down near Williamsburg. A few hours later, my soon-to-be wife and I were on our way down south to check the park out.

The park itself was absolutely beautiful. Settled right on the James River its’ coasts were lined with giant Bald Cypress trees, perfect for sitting under and watching the sun set over the James.

There are cliff walls along some parts of the coast where you can dig for fossils, and apparently that’s where people have found the teeth. We didn’t find anything, but it was still a great trip with a colorful sunset. I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back! Check out this sky!
